Math~ This week we will be working on measurement. Students will need to know metric and standard units of measure. We will only be converting within each measurement system. Students will not have to convert between the two systems.

This week we will be learning how to decompose rectangular prisms. Students will be finding the volume of two separate prisms, and then they will add these together to come up with the overall volume of the figure. We will be taking a volume quiz on Friday afternoon. Reading We will be working on context clues, author's purpose, and reading comprehension strategies. Science We will be learning about plant and animal cells. We will be discussing the different organelles that can be found in these cells. Students will be creating group "cell posters." We have an "in-house" science field trip on Friday. This field trip is called "Storm Chasers." We will be going over different body systems on Saturday. Here are the systems we will be covering: 1.)
